What the evidence supports

Supported

Trump won Michigan's presidential vote in 2016 and 2024.

In the FOX 2 Detroit interview, Trump said he won Michigan the first and last times he ran. Federal 2016 results and Michigan's certified 2024 presidential-elector records support those two wins. This limited proposition does not support his separate assertion that he won the state all three times.

Supported

Audi announced a Georgia factory plan with capacity for about 200,000 vehicles a year.

Trump repeated the 200,000-car figure in the Kudlow interview. Audi and Georgia announced a roughly $4 billion planned U.S. factory designed for up to 200,000 vehicles annually. Volkswagen supervisory-board approval and construction remained pending; this rating concerns the announced plan and capacity, not completed production.

Speaker
Donald J. Trump
False

Trump won Michigan in each of his three presidential elections.

At the Port Huron rally, Trump said he won the state the first, second and third times. Michigan's certified 2020 result gave Joe Biden 2,804,040 votes and Trump 2,649,852; a statewide audit affirmed Biden's win. Trump's 2016 and 2024 Michigan victories do not make the three-win claim true.

False

The latest U.S. inflation rate was 1.7% over the preceding three months.

Trump gave the 1.7% figure in the Kudlow interview and repeated it at the rally. The latest BLS release showed 3.7% year-over-year inflation through September 2026; its July, August and September monthly all-items changes were 0.1%, 0.4% and 0.6%, which do not yield 1.7% for that span. No identified published series supports his figure.

Donald J. Trump
False

Biden left Trump the worst inflation in U.S. history.

Trump again called the inflation inherited from Biden the worst ever. BLS records show the 12-month rate peaked at 9.1% in June 2022, versus 14.8% in March 1980 and still higher historical episodes. Inflation was substantial under Biden, but the historical superlative is contradicted.

Speaker
Donald J. Trump
Unresolved

Jocelyn Benson personally engaged in voter fraud as Michigan secretary of state.

Trump alleged that Benson cheated in the 2020 election but supplied no specific transaction or record. Michigan certified Biden's victory, and a statewide audit affirmed the outcome. Bridge Michigan reported no evidence for Trump's accusation. Those records rebut the implied changed election result, but the unspecific personal-conduct allegation cannot be conclusively adjudicated without an identifiable act or evidence.

Transcript audit

6 transcripts located

These full-text records were checked for testable factual claims. A verdict appears above only when corroborating evidence supports one.

Bottom line

Six attributable Trump claims are assessed: two Supported, three False and one Unresolved. Official returns support his 2016 and 2024 Michigan wins but contradict a third win in 2020. Audi's announced Georgia plan supports the limited factory-capacity claim, while BLS data contradict both inflation assertions. No specific evidence was provided for the personal voter-fraud allegation against Jocelyn Benson; Michigan's certification and audit affirm the 2020 result. Six complete Trump-participation transcripts are indexed. The assessments do not rate every statement in the interviews and rally.
