The day in one sentence

Early voting, a Georgia rally and Audi's plant plan.

Trump spent the morning at his West Palm Beach golf property, voted early with the first lady, answered reporters, then traveled to Perry, Georgia for a campaign rally and a local television interview. Three complete Trump-participation transcripts are indexed, including a full independent transcription of the rally that became available after the morning edition. Eight attributable claims are assessed: two Supported, five False and one Unresolved.

West Palm Beach golf property

The public schedule records Trump's travel to and from his golf club. In a later press exchange, he said he hit balls but did not play a round; the schedule alone would not establish that distinction.

Verified event

Early vote and press exchange

Trump and Melania Trump voted at the Palm Beach County elections office. He then answered questions about voting, Alaska, Iran, Ukraine, Washington crime and other subjects. A complete transcript is accessible.

Verified event

Georgia interview and Perry rally

Trump arrived near Perry, gave Atlanta News First a short interview and addressed a campaign rally at Guardian Centers. AP, Reuters and the public schedule document the Audi plant announcement. A complete independent rally transcription became accessible on October 25.

Verified event

Returned to Joint Base Andrews

The public schedule records the late return flight. It does not establish the time of arrival at the White House.

What the evidence supports

Supported

Audi announced plans for a multibillion-dollar automobile plant in middle Georgia.

Trump told Atlanta News First that Audi's chief executive would announce spending of billions on a plant nearby. Audi's October 25 company release and Georgia's October 24 announcement confirm a planned roughly $4 billion first U.S. factory at the Middle Georgia Megasite. Reuters reported on October 25 that Volkswagen's supervisory board still must make a final investment decision. This assesses the announced plan, not completed approval, construction or spending.

Supported

Audi's planned Georgia factory has a stated annual capacity of about 200,000 vehicles.

Trump gave the 200,000-vehicles-a-year figure at the Perry rally. Audi's company release and Georgia's project announcement confirm a planned capacity of up to 200,000 vehicles annually. Production is prospective, with a start planned for the early 2030s.

Speaker
Donald J. Trump
False

Construction of Audi's Georgia factory would begin in November 2026.

Trump said at the Perry rally that construction would begin next month. Audi's published timetable instead schedules construction to begin in 2027, with production in the early 2030s. Reuters reported that Volkswagen's supervisory board still must approve the investment. Preparatory planning is not the start of construction.

Speaker
Donald J. Trump
False

The latest U.S. inflation rate had been 1.7% for the preceding three months.

Trump repeated the 1.7% claim in the Georgia interview. The latest Bureau of Labor Statistics CPI release put the 12-month all-items rise through September at 3.7%; the July, August and September monthly changes also do not yield a 1.7% three-month annualized rate. No alternative published series was identified.

False

Washington, D.C., no longer has any killings.

Trump said there were no killings in Washington during the post-vote press exchange. Metropolitan Police Department records document 2026 homicides, including a fatal shooting on October 18. Homicides are down from the comparable 2025 period, but they have not stopped.

Speaker
Donald J. Trump
False

Iran's current national inflation rate was 301%.

Trump repeated the 301% figure in the post-vote exchange. The Statistical Center of Iran's September report put year-over-year inflation at 89.8% and the 12-month average at 73.6%. Inflation is severe, but those published national measures directly contradict 301%; a newer official October figure was not identified at this cutoff.

Unresolved

Los Angeles election records point to potentially hundreds of thousands, or as many as a million, illicit votes.

Trump expanded his California voter-list allegation in the press exchange. DOJ's pending complaint concerns a list of roughly 20,000 suspected noncitizen registrations, not adjudicated illicit ballots or evidence of hundreds of thousands of votes. California contests the list and the full case-level records are not public. The asserted larger total cannot be established from the reviewed evidence.

Speaker
Donald J. Trump
False

David Perdue won Georgia's January 2021 U.S. Senate runoff against Jon Ossoff.

At the Perry rally, Trump said Perdue won that election while discussing Ossoff. Georgia's certified January 5, 2021 runoff returned 2,269,923 votes for Ossoff and 2,214,979 for Perdue. Perdue led the November 2020 first round, but neither candidate reached a majority; Ossoff won the decisive runoff.

These full-text records were checked for testable factual claims. A verdict appears above only when corroborating evidence supports one.

Bottom line

Eight specific Trump claims are assessed: two Supported, five False and one Unresolved. Audi and Georgia confirm a planned multibillion-dollar factory and its proposed 200,000-vehicle annual capacity, while the claimed November 2026 construction start conflicts with Audi's 2027 timetable and final board approval remains pending. Certified Georgia returns contradict the asserted Perdue runoff win; BLS, Washington police and Iranian inflation records contradict three other claims. The asserted scale of illicit Los Angeles votes remains unverified. Three complete Trump-participation transcripts are indexed, including the newly accessible Perry rally transcription; this is a claim-level assessment rather than a verdict on every rally statement.
